Hello Fresh Kale Sausage Soup – Quick Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb sausage (Italian or your choice)
  • 1 bunch kale, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can white beans (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook sausage in a large pot over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  3. Add chicken broth, white beans (if using), and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in kale and cooked sausage. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the kale is tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot. Enjoy!

• 4 cups beef or chicken broth
• 1 cup Irish stout beer (optional for depth of flavor)
• 1 teaspoon dried thyme
• 1 teaspoon dried parsley
• ½ teaspoon black pepper
• ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tablespoon tomato paste
• 1 bay leaf
For Garnish:
• Chopped fresh parsley
• Crusty bread (for serving)
